Ho apprezzato immediatamente l’idea di pianificare qualcosa di diverso dalla fotografia matrimonialista e così mi sono buttata in un brainstorming con Peter per capire cosa potessimo concretamente realizzare insieme. Peter ha tantissime idee folli, dunque abbiamo dovuto semplicemente scegliere tra quelle possibili, anche tenendo conto dello styling che avevo a disposizione.
Entrambi concordavamo sul fatto di creare delle storie con una connessione al tema del matrimonio, ma con un punto di vista totalmente differente, “fuori dagli schemi”.
Sulla base delle idee di Peter ho fatto una ricerca di tutti gli accessori che avremmo potuto usare sul nostro set.
Quando ci siamo trovati al punto di ritrovo del Nwac, non avevamo idea che ci saremmo trovati di fronte a così tanta gente, la maggior parte fotografi di professione che prendono parte al campus per confrontarsi con i Master che condividono la loro conoscenza in materia e danno consigli su come migliorare professionalmente.
Quest’anno il campus del Nwac ha avuto grandi nomi come : Peter Kemp, Nancy Fina, Frieke Jansenns, Gabriele Zani, Andrey Balabasov and Patrizia Burra . Ognuno di loro aveva la sua Masterclass.
Il primo giorno siamo arrivati insieme a Nancy Fina e Frieke Jansenns. Siamo stati presentati tutti agli studenti e il mio primo inaspettato compito è stato quello di aiutare Peter a tradurre, fortunatamente alcuni degli studenti mi hanno poi dato una mano nei giorni seguenti ! Grazie ragazzi !!!
Dal giorno successivo è stata una full immersion di lavoro con tre gruppi differenti, la Masterclass di Peter era focalizzata su come costruire un team e sul pensare fuori dagli schemi in modo tale da creare degli scatti di Story Telling . Posso assolutamente affermare che abbiamo passato giornate splendide con queste persone, facendogli osservare la fotografia da un diverso punto di vista.
In quei giorni ho avuto anche modo di aiutare col make up le altre due modelle che posavano per Frieke e Nancy. E’ stato un bel modo per conoscere Cristiana e Sasha e anche se non ho potuto dedicare molto tempo ad entrambe, lo spirito di collaborazione è stato super.
Quello che mi è piaciuto particolarmente è stata l’atmosfera positiva di questo incontro, condividere e confrontarsi con i Master è il modo giusto per crescere in una professione e consiglierei a tutti i fotografi di prendere parte a una settimana del genere. Per me è stata una bellissima occasione poter lavorare in un super Team.

After the lovely experience in Norway, Peter Kemp asked me to model again for his Story Telling workshop at the NWAC, Nikon Wedding Advanced Campus in Riccione.
I’ve immediately loved the idea to plann something different from wedding photography and so I joined Peter in a brainstorming about what we could actually do there together. Peter has lots of crazy ideas and we just had to pick the possible ones considering also my styling.
We both agreed that we wanted to show how to create a story with a connection with the wedding theme, but from a totally different point of view, basicly thinking “out of the box”.
Considering Peter’s ideas I’ve searched few props that we could use on our set.
When we stepped into Nwac meeting point we just didn’t know that we would have found so many people , mostly professional photographers, who take part to this campus to interact with Masters who share their knowledge and give them tips on how to improve their work.
This year the Nwac campus had several great Names such as : Peter Kemp, Nancy Fina, Frieke Jansenns, Gabriele Zani, Andrey Balabasov and Patrizia Burra. Each of them had their own Masterclass.
The first day we arrived with Nancy Fina and Frieke Jansenns. We were all introduced to the students and the first unexpected duty for me was to help Peter to translate, luckily some students helped me on the following days ! Thank you guys !!!
From the day after it was a three days full immersion of work with three different groups, Peter’s Masterclass was focused on team building and learning how to think out of the box in order to get story telling photography . I can definitely say we had a great time working with all those people and we’ve let them see photography under a different point of view.
During those days I did my best to help with make up other two models who were posing for Frieke and Nancy , it was a cool way to meet Cristiana and Sasha and even if I didn’t have so much time to dedicate to both of them , the cooperating atmosphere was cool .
What I really enjoyed was the positive atmosphere of this meeting, sharing and interact with Masters is the right way to grow in a profession and I would suggest any photographer to take part to such a week. For me it was an incredible opportunity to work in such a great Team.
